October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month and as part of our efforts to combat this disease, Employee Health and Wellness is teaming up with Mammos on the Move to bring digital mammography to City of Laredo employees and dependents under the City of Laredo medical plan.
 
Mammos on the Move is a mobile unit capable of performing digital screening mammograms as well as bone density exams.  
Screening mammograms take approximately 10 minutes and no prescription/order is needed if woman is over 40 years old.  The service is paid as a claim by Blue Cross Blue Shield and is free once a year.
 
The unit will be stationed at:
 
City Hall (1110 Houston St.)
Thursday, October 29 from 8 am to 5 pm
 
Please make sure to take insurance card, a drivers license or picture ID, doctor’s order
(only if they are younger than 40 or are male).
